How to contact your Member of Parliament
It's important that your Member of Parliament know what you think about their handling of Canada's mental health and addictions crisis. If they're going a good job let them know. If they're doing a poor job, let them know you expect better.
Tracking down a MP's contact information (House of Commons address, constituency address, phone numbers, fax numbers, etc) can be confusing and time consuming. Fortunately the government has all this information, and more, in one
location. Here we'll take you through the three simple steps to get the information on your MP.
It's important to stay in regular contact with your MP. When you write them, ask for a response.
Step 1
Click this link:

Step 2
On this page, to the right of the line which reads Current Members of Parliament (Filtered Results) there is a blank space to fill in some information to identify your MP. In this example, we've typed in Trudeau and hit the "Find MP" button. That brings up the next page with an image of Right Hon. Justin Trudeau.
Step 3
On this page, click the person's name. In our example click Right Hon. Justin Trudeau.
There you have it: mailing addresses, email addresses, phone numbers and fax numbers.
Give it a try!
When you get here, click the email address. Send an email to your MP and ask what he or she is doing to improve mental and health and addictions services and care. If you're not satisfied with what they're doing, email them again.
Note:
When writing to MPs we've found that a real letter -- one sent through the post office -- is much more effective than email.
